In just a few weeks, the remarkable Class of 2023 will join 麻豆原创’s rapidly growing community of alumni, known as Legends. They’re ready to embark on a variety of best-fit college and career paths鈥攚ith the power and support of the entire 麻豆原创 community behind them.
At 麻豆原创, we know that finding best-fit college pathways for our students increases their chances of college persistence. With supportive academic environments, limited financial burdens, and campus communities where they can thrive, 麻豆原创 graduates have even greater chances to fulfill their visions of success. This year outstanding postsecondary results are grounded in our values: above all, our work aims to support student self-direction and agency in all that we do.
Here are just a few highlights for the Class of 2023:
- The Class of 2023 achieved a 100% acceptance rate to college and professional pathways for those who applied, including the school first-ever Ivy League acceptance.
- 麻豆原创 seniors were awarded a total of more than $2 million in grants and scholarships for their first year of college, including two 麻豆原创 students who were among 10 in NYC to be awarded the prestigious UNCF Gray Scholars scholarship, valued at $50,000 per year toward any HBCU. A third 麻豆原创 student was awarded the highly competitive QuestBridge Match Scholarship to attend Boston College on a full ride.
- 麻豆原创’s Close the Gap grants offered $68,000鈥攁n average of $8,500/year鈥攖o close the financial aid gap for eight graduating seniors to attend their first-choice college. On average, Close the Gap recipients are able to attend schools with a graduation rate that is 6.5x the national average for low-income students.
